Preservation Reminder: Hearing for 201 West Jones this Thursday October 24, 2024 at 10:00 AM at 112 East State Street

This Thursday October 24, 2024, the City of Savannah Zoning Board of Appeals will hear an appeal of the approval of a demolition and new addition at 201 West Jones Street.
We explained our disapproval of the demolition and addition in our September 29, 2024, newsletter. Link.
If you support our position, please send an email to Edward Morrow at the MPC. His email address is morrowe@thempc.org. Here's some sample language:
Dear Mr. Morrow,
I am writing to support the appeal of the Certificate of Appropriateness for 201 West Jones Street because too much of the historic structure is being demolished and because the new construction does not meet the standards.

In addition to sending an email, you may also speak at the hearing which will be held at 10:00 AM at 112 East State Street. Sometimes these items are postponed.
